H.B. Michel Sabbah inaugurated Housing Project in Nazareth

His Beatitude Monsignor Michael Sabbah inaugurated the Annunciation Housing Project, for young couples, on Sunday 8th of June, 2008, in Nazareth.  About the ProjectThe Annunciation Housing Project of Nazareth carries private features. The Project is located at the highest summit in the city of Nazareth, at a height of 490meter above the sea level. The Neighbourhood includes 56 apartment, with different areas, designed according to high quality standards.The project contains public facilities, such as parking places, a large stadium, a club for kids and families, and public parks. The Ceremony/CelebrationThe ceremony was attended by Bishop Fouad Twal, and Bishop Giacinto-Boulos Marcuzzo, Patriarch Vicar for Galilee, together with a large gathering of priests, and representatives of Nazareth Municipality, and a crowd of faithful from different churches.Fr. Shawki Baterian, the general administrator, addressed a welcoming speech to the faithful, followed by the word of Patriarch Michael Sabbah, which assured the necessity of living according to the spirit of Christian love.He also thanked all who contributed in this project, especially Sisters of Nazareth, who donated the land for the benefit of the Latin Patriarchate.At the end, the Patriarch prayed, and asked for the Lord blessings. The families were then granted the blessings of his Beatitude, the rosary, the cross, the logo of the Latin Patriarchate, and the Holy Bible.
