The local Pastoral Catholic Committee in Jordan held its first meeting of the new term, headed by Archbishop Salim Sayeg, Latin Patriarchal Vicar of Jordan last Wednesday, August 27th 2008 in the Latin Vicariate in Jordan. New members of the Pastoral Committee gathered from different Catholic churches in Jordan as: Latin, Greek Catholic, Maronites, Syrian Catholics, and Chaldeans.The participants opened the Committee Works highlighting on the history of the Pastoral Committee from the beginnings, passing through the goals achieved, and gave a look towards the future. The meeting also introduced a new mechanism of the Committee's work in term of communication and organization of work, looking forward to the possible ways of activating the participation of different groups and taking the responsibilities under the common pastoral work.
