September 5th 2008 was the feast of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. On this occasion, Pope Benedict XVI received from Archbishop and the mayor of the city of Skopje in Macedonia, where Mother Teresa was born, a three meter bronze statue of Blessed Mother Teresa.The Supreme Pontiff presented the statue as a gift to a parish church under construction in Rome, for it carries the name of Mother Teresa from Calcutta.It is worth noting that a Macedonian artist carved the statue, as an indication for the sacrifices of Mother Teresa, the holder of hope to the poor ones and Jesus' preacher.We ask Blessed Mother Teresa to pray for our weakness.
