His Beatitude Monsignor Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem visited for the first time, as a Patriarch, his homeland Jordan on July, 11th 2008, after installing him as the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem on June 22nd, 2008. His Beatitude was welcomed at the Jordanian bridge by Royal care. Jordanian Armed Forces music band and scouts groups preceded his procession., surrounded by police cars with royal guards and a personal….Furthermore, the private counsellor for tribal affairs, As-Shareif Fawaz Ibn Abdel-Allah Az-Zibn has received his Beatitude, along with the representative of his majesty Kind Abdallah the second, as well as the Interior Minister Ied Fawaz, in addition to the representative of the Prime Minster, Minister of Endowments Islamic affairs Abdul-Fatah Salah, and his Excellency Monsignor Francis Assize Sholikat, the apostolic Nuncio to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordanian, as well as Bishop Salim Sayegh, Latin Patriarchate Vicar in Jordan and people from civil, security and government authorities, some bishops and a group of priests and a crowd of faithful.The Interior Minister Ied Fawaz said that all Jordanians (Muslims and Christians) are glad to host his Beatitude in Jordan, mentioning that it is the first time a Jordanian Patriarch is elected, in which it indicates the important position of Jordan among international forums.On his turn, the Patriarch thanked the efforts of his Majesty King Abdullah II, his government and those who have the will to accomplish benefits for Jordan and its citizens, and for supporting the Palestinian issue and Christian institutions in the Holy Land. After that, the procession of his Beatitude headed towards the Church of Our Lady Nazareth in Sweifieh, Amman, where his Beatitude presided the liturgical celebration.In addition, Chancellor of the Latin Patriarchate, Father Humam Khazouz has read Pope Benedict XVI decree, which includes the approval of appointing Archbishop Fouad Twal, to be the successor of his predecessor of his Beatitude Michel Sabbah. Furthermore, Latin Patriarchate Vicar in Jordan, Bishop Salim Sayegh addressed a welcoming word to Patriarch Fouad Twal on behalf of the Jordanian Church. He also thanked the former Patriarch Michel Sabbah for his service and wise leadership of the Patriarchate for the past 20 years.The Patriarch in his homily expressed his immense gratitude for his homeland Jordan for the love and respect they showed him. He also highlighted the significance of working together in order to take the right decision and to maintain benefit to all. His Beatitude emphasized on spreading the message of love and forgiveness, and to deepen the dialogue and cooperation among all, by letting the voice of peace be heard in International communities, asking for God's help to accomplish peace and justice in the Holy Land.After that, everyone was able to pay homage to the new Patriarch of Jerusalem for his apostolic seat. 

The First Mass for his Beatitude in Ma'daba
A celebrating reception was held in Ma'daba, the birth town of Patriarch Fouad Twal, on July, 13th, 2008. Music of the Royal Jordanian Armed Forces and scout groups contributed too. Furthermore, a speech festival was held at the end, where a number of poems were performed.At the end, his Beatitude focused on the excellent relationships between Moslems and Christians in Jordan.A celebrating mass followed, presided by his Beatitude, concelebrated with bishop Salim Sayegh, Latin Patriarchate Vicar in Jordan, and Archbishop of Tunis Maroon Lahham, along with the pontifical ambassador of Jordan, as well as Bishop Kamal Bathish, and a group of priests. 

The Episcopal Ordination of Archbishop Ghaleb Bader
With enchanting voices singing merrily, the procession of the faithful entered the Church of The Sacred Heart of Jesus in Tlaa' Al ‘Ali in Amman, on Thursday, July, 17th, 2008, for the celebration of the Episcopal Ordination celebration of Monsignor Ghaleb Bader, and  for appointing him as Archbishop of Algeria.The celebration was presided by His Beatitude Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, along with the resigned Patriarch Michel Sabbah, together with, as well as the resigned Archbishop of Algeria, Bishop Henri Teisseir, accompanied by a number of Archbishops, Bishops, priests and Diplomats from northern Africa, as well as local people who came to attend the celebration.A welcoming speech followed by the Latin Patriarchate Vicar, in Jordan, Bishop Salim Sayegh, mentioning a brief moments of Ghaleb Bader's life and what he had achieved for the Church of Jerusalem,.(The Episcopal Ordination followed the reading of the Gospel. It started by reading the Papal Decree in which, Mons. Ghaleb Bader is assigned as Archbishop of Algeria. The candidate has promised loyalty to the Church. Then, Episcopal Prayer is followed by putting the Gospel, opened, over the candidate’s head. After that, he was anointed with the Sacred Oil. The Gospel was handled to him, the ring, the miter and the crosier, as a sign of pastoral service.During the offerings the New Bishop’s emblem was offered with the words “and thou... confirm thy brethren” (Luke 22: 32).After granting the final blessings, the new Archbishop with all the faithful headed towards the hall for the congratulations preceded by the scouts’ music and the people’s folkloric singings.
