Brother Daniel Casey, FSC, former President and Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University in the Holy Land, died peacefully in the United States on Wednesday, July 30th 2008, where he had gone in January to receive treatment for a recurrence of cancer.Brother Robert Smith, Interim Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University said: "Earlier this month, I was able to visit Brother Daniel in the USA. We had a wonderful thoughtful, joyful conversation for about one and a half hours. He talked comfortably and as a man of deep faith about his death; he was ready to meet God".A memorial thanksgiving mass will be held in the coming days at the University Chapel to pray for Brother Casey's rest.
