The Congregation of the priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Betharram received their new post to serve the Zarqa North parish in Jordan, during a pontifical mass presided by Bishop Salim Sayegh, the Latin Patriarchal Vicar of Jordan. Bishop Salim Saygh mentioned in his homily the services of the priests of the congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Latin Diocese of Jerusalem, such as in the field of education at the Latin Seminary for decades, in addition to their service in various Liturgical rituals. Bishop Sayeg expressed his happiness for the willingness of the Congregation to take the responsibility and the duties of running the new parish.Fr. Pietro Felet, the Regional Superior of the Congregation, concelebrated the mass along with Fr. Elie Kurzum, the new parish priest, accompanied by his two vicars, Fr. Boutrus Hijazin and Fr. Iyad Bader.Warm thanks were given to Fr. Issam Zu'mut, the former parish priest who served the parish for four years and will be the first resident priest in Aqaba parish, in the far southern part of Jordan.We extend our congratulations to the Congregation of the priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Betharram, asking God to grant them the strength and patience to continue their services in the church.
